In 2009 IKD introduced the Rotax Pro Tour and it was a resounding success.

The Pro Tour 2010 will again provide four individual race meetings held at top circuits along the eastern seaboard of Australia. Commencing in January of 2010, the Pro Tour provides drivers with the only events that run to a European format - lots of track time and a professionally run program.

The Pro Tour is designed to lift the bar for kart race meetings in Australia. The meetings offer heaps of practice, racing, prizes, social events and are designed to provide karters with the highest levels of competition possible to develop their skills. Any future race star would gain invaluable experience by racing the Pro Tour.

Each of the rounds are level 2 events under the National Rotax Rankings System. By racing the Pro Tour you can earn lots of points towards your ranking and ultimately your chance to win a spot at the Rotax Max Challenge World Finals. The classes at Pro Tour 2010 events will be:

Junior Rotax - 145kg
Junior Rotax - 160kg
Rotax Light - 160kg
Rotax Heavy - 180kg
Rotax Over 35 - 170kg
Open (DD2 engines only) - 175kg

All competitors intending to compete in a Pro Tour event must register prior to the event. Once registered all competitors will receive a Pro Tour information pack via email that will include a registration number. This number must be included on each Pro Tour event entry form. Registration is free and online. You can check the list of registrations for each class here.

Race numbers for the Pro Tour are allocated on a first come first served basis. Number 1 is reserved for the National Champion of each class.

You will not receive a confirmation email and welcome pack immediately after registering. Please allow 5 days for your details to be entered into the database. If you do not receive your welcome pack after this time, please email us at protour@rotax.com.au.
