In 2008 IKD introduced the Rotax Rankings program. The intention of the Rotax Rankings is to provide a meaningful ranking of Rotax drivers in Australia within their class and ultimately provide a means for determining the drivers who may be invited to compete at the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final each year.

Rankings will be administered for the Junior Rotax, Rotax Light, Rotax Heavy, DD2, DD2 Masters & Rotax Over 40s classes.

The events which are included in the Rotax Ranking are the Rotax Nationals, Rotax Pro Tour and State Open Sprint Championships for NSW, VIC & QLD. The ranking may include other events at the discretion of IKD.

ALLOCATION OF WORLD FINAL SEATS

There are a total of 12 Australian seats at the 2012 Rotax Max Challenge Grand Final.

Allocation of these seats will be as follows;

- 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the Junior Rotax Ranking will win Junior Max seats

- 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the Rotax Light Ranking will win Senior Max seats

- 1st & 2nd place in the DD2 Ranking will win DD2 seats

- 1st place in the Rotax Heavy ranking will win a DD2 seat

- 1st, 2nd & 3rd place in the DD2 Masters ranking will win DD2 Masters seats

IKD are pleased to introduced the Rotax Pro Tour Manufacturers Cup.

Points will be allocated to chassis manufacturers for the 3 podium finishers at each of the Rotax Pro Tour and the Rotax Nationals events.

1st Place – 25 points
2nd Place – 20 points
3rd Place – 16 points

Points will be allocated for the 6 Rotax Ranking classes only – Rotax Light, Rotax Heavy, Junior Rotax, DD2, DD2 Masters & Rotax Over 40s.

The Manufacturers Cup will follow the same season as the Rotax Rankings.

The Manufacturers Cup will be awarded to the winner at the Rotax Nationals.
